Get the Obedient Dog of Your Dreams

Buying a puppy for your home can lead to many years of laughter and affection. In fact, many would consider a family dog like their own child. However, like any child, most canines require almost constant supervision. And once you take your eyes off of them for a single moment, there is no telling what they may do, or what may happen to them.

Any responsible dog owner will do their best to keep them from harm, but what can you do when you cannot always be around to watch them all day? Just as you would with a child, you would want to teach them how to be more independent, more obedient, and, most importantly, safer when you are and aren’t home watching them.

You may not be able to ship your dog to off-boarding school, but you can take them to one of the highest-rated dog training companies in the nation. Off Leash K9 Training of Sterling helps dogs become their best by teaching them to leave behind bad behavior and replace it with the obedience that you need from them. In a matter of weeks, you will never again have to worry about leaving them alone or leaving them around others.

FAQ

1. What makes private lessons different from group classes?

Our private dog training classes offer one-on-one attention tailored to your dog’s specific needs and behavior challenges. Unlike group classes, private sessions allow us to progress at your dog’s pace and focus on issues like reactivity, anxiety, or off-leash control without distractions. This personalized format is ideal, more ideal than group classes, especially for dogs that need more structure.

2. Do you offer advanced obedience training for dogs that already know the basics?

Yes, we offer advanced obedience training classes for canines that have already completed basic commands. These lessons introduce higher-level skills like extended recall, advanced tricks, place commands under heavy distraction, and off-leash reliability. Perfect for those who want well-behaved pets that listen in any situation.

3. How do your training sessions help promote good behavior at home and in public?

Our training sessions are designed to build consistent routines and clear communication between you and your canine companion. By reinforcing rules and expectations through positive repetition, we help your dog develop good behavior that transfers from the training field to real-life situations like walks, family events, or visits to the vet.

4. Are puppy socialization classes included in your puppy training programs?

Absolutely. Early puppy socialization is critical for preventing fear, anxiety, and aggression later in life. Our puppy training programs cover socialization with people, other dogs, and various environments, helping your pup build confidence and learn appropriate behavior.

5. Can I enroll in dog training classes if my dog has never taken any before?

Yes! Our dog training classes are beginner-friendly and open to dogs of all breeds and backgrounds. Whether you’re starting fresh with a new puppy or trying to correct long-standing issues, our step-by-step approach ensures your dog learns at a comfortable and effective pace.

6. Do you use positive reinforcement training techniques in your programs?

We believe in balanced, results-driven training and absolutely incorporate positive reinforcement training in every program. Using proven techniques like praise, treats, and rewards, we encourage the behaviors you want to see while building trust, skills, and a lasting relationship between you and your puppy.

7. What should pet parents expect during the first few private dog training sessions?

Pet parents can expect to see immediate structure introduced through leash control and basic obedience. During the first few private training sessions, we’ll assess your puppy’s behavior and give you the tools to practice at home.
