Frequently Asked Questions
What age can a puppy start obedience training?
Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old to enroll in Puppy Board & Train. The current pricing page does not list a minimum age for Basic Marker Mastery™ or a separate consultation for puppies under 15 weeks. Contact the team to confirm current age and enrollment requirements.
Is puppy obedience training available for Centreville residents?
Yes. Off Leash K9 Training, Loudoun County is based in Sterling and serves Centreville and other Northern Virginia communities. Program locations, scheduling, and availability should be confirmed directly with the team.
How long does puppy obedience training take?
Basic Marker Mastery™ runs for eight weeks and includes eight one-hour sessions. Puppy Board & Train lasts two weeks and includes daily professional training. Program length does not guarantee a specific outcome.
What commands will my puppy learn?
Basic Marker Mastery™ introduces come, sit, place, and loose-leash walking. Puppy Board & Train covers sit, down, place, loose-leash walking, on-leash recall, and greeting, door, and meal manners. It also includes crate and potty routines.
Can training help with puppy biting and jumping?
The current puppy curricula list foundational commands, loose-leash walking, household manners, and crate and potty routines. They do not specifically list puppy biting or mouthing. Discuss these concerns during the consultation so the team can explain whether an available program is appropriate.
What happens after the training program ends?
Basic Marker Mastery™ owners should continue practicing between and after lessons. Puppy Board & Train concludes with a two-hour transfer session explaining the puppy’s skills and how to maintain them at home. The current puppy-program descriptions do not list lifetime refresher support.
Is equipment included in puppy training programs?
Basic Marker Mastery™ includes a 15-foot leash, clicker, and slip lead. The current Puppy Board & Train description does not list an equipment bundle. Confirm any additional equipment requirements with the team.
