Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a training location in Centreville, VA?
Off Leash K9 Training, Loudoun County is based in Sterling, VA, and serves dog owners throughout Loudoun County, Fairfax County, and surrounding Northern Virginia communities. Board & Train dogs board with a professional trainer, while the location and scheduling options for private lessons depend on the selected program and current availability.
What age can I start training my dog?
Age requirements depend on the selected program. Puppies must be at least 12 weeks old to enroll in Puppy Board & Train. Older dogs can continue learning new skills with consistent training, practice, and an approach suited to their temperament and training history.
Do your programs use e-collars?
It depends on your dog’s behavior, temperament, training history, and the program selected. Board & Train options range from one to three weeks, while private lessons build skills progressively through scheduled sessions and practice between appointments. Continued results depend heavily on consistent reinforcement after formal training ends.
Do you work with reactive or aggressive dogs?
Yes. Our behavior-focused programs are designed for dogs with aggression or reactivity toward other dogs or people, as well as dogs dealing with significant anxiety. These programs focus on stronger handling skills, improved control, and practical management, since complete correction of serious aggression cannot be guaranteed.
